Religious Education Calender - 2010-2011

We wanted to share the thoughts of one of the members of the Confirmation Class of 2010.

In the beginning, I had little understanding of Jesus but after 10 years of CCD, I have gained understanding and knowledge of what God asks of me. I have the understanding of prayer and the Ten Commandments, but I am still struggling to have the courage to stand up for my beliefs in my life.

After visiting the nuns, I gained reverence and respect for their specific stories being a follower of Jesus and it also showed me right judgment because I sought advice on how to be a good Christian from them along with my peers.

Finally, so close to making my confirmation I feel like I have gained enough wisdom to see from God’s point of view and I have recognized the true value of this event.

God is great and I am dependent on him throughout my life which shows my wonder and awe.

CONFIRMATION SCHEDULE

OUR LIFE WITH CHRIST

The CCD teachers volunteer their time to teach your children about the Catholic Faith. Although they do a wonderful job, one hour a week is not enough.

Please come to Mass with your children and celebrate the Eucharist. It is the main part of our faith!!

When your children go to CCD, they start their journey to Reconciliation, the Holy Eucharist and then Confirmation, but their LIFE IN CHRIST does not end with Confirmation.

In order to fulfill our teaching bring them to the Mass and join in the celebration!
